While Latinos love their adopted country, most strive to stay in touch with the traditions of their roots. Food, family and celebrations are part of maintaining their unique Latin heritage.
Yet, there are serious health challenges to be faced by the 35 million American Latinos. Obesity, type 2 diabetes, tooth decay, and lack of medical insurance and preventative dental care are some of the disturbing health problems that trouble the children of this population.
